Abstract

God Justice in the Perspective of Murtadha Muthahhari:  In the modern century, Islamic thinkers attempt to explain what God justice is and how it is. One of them is Murtadha Muthahhari, an Islamic intellectual from Iran. He discusses God justice in a book entitled ’al-‘Adl al-Ilahi. From the analysis it is found out that the meaning of justice according to Murtadha Muthahhari is the retention of rights, in the sense that something that exists (maujud) has its own existence and perfection that have become its rights to some degree and in line with the possibility it can fulfill. This is a social justice, and at the same time, it is as the mercy and reward from God that should be gained by His creatures through their capabilities on the basis of the cause and effect rule or Sunnatullah.
