درس اللغة العربية في المدرسة المتوسطة الإسلامية له مكانة مهمة في تطوير العلوم الإسلامية . فلذلك لابد له من اهتمام جميع الأحزاب لتشجيعه وإرشاده وتطويره وترقية كفاءة التلاميذ في الاستيعاب على اللغة العربية تقبّلية أو منتِجة وتنمية الروح الإيجابي لها في نفوس هؤلاء التلاميذ. الكفاءة التقبّلية هي كفاءة في فهم كلام الآخر، والكفاءة المنتجة هي كفاءة في استخدام اللغة كآلة الاتصال لسانية وكتابية. والكفاءة اللغوية تساعد التلاميذ في فهم مصادر العلوم الإسلامية من القرآن والأحاديث النبوية والكتب الإسلامية المؤلفة باللغة العربية
