The interpretation of theological verses in the context of digital space has become an interesting phenomenon to study, considering its challenges and risks, such as the potential for inaccurate or extreme interpretations to be disseminated. Therefore, it is crucial to remain critical and verify the sources of information used in the interpretation of theological verses. This research aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the audiovisual interpretation of Surah al-Baqarah verse 115 by Musthafa Umar and Firanda Andirja on YouTube channels. This verse holds significant relevance in Islamic teachings, particularly concerning the principle of Tawhid (the oneness of God) and the change of the Qiblah direction in prayer worship. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a comparative analysis approach. The focus of this research is on the differences and similarities in the approaches and explanations between Musthafa Umar and Firanda Andirja in interpreting the theological verse. Data sources were obtained from their respective audiovisual interpretations delivered through the YouTube channels "kajian Tafsir Al-Ma‘rifah-Ustadz Musthafa Umar" and "Firanda Andirja." The research results indicate significant differences in their interpretations. Musthafa Umar emphasizes the social aspects of the Quran, while Firanda Andirja focuses more on the concepts of prayer (salat) and the Qiblah direction. However, both interpretations encourage flexibility in the implementation of prayer and understanding of the verse. In terms of interpretative sources, Firanda Andirja relies on the Quran and Sunnah, while Musthafa Umar combines the Quran, Sunnah, and the reasoning of ijtihad. Firanda Andirja's interpretive methods include tahlili, muqaran, and al-naqli, while Musthafa Umar uses tahlili, maudhu'i, and al-‘aqli methods. Firanda Andirja's interpretation involves theological aspects, while Musthafa Umar combines theology and linguistics.
Abstrak: Penafsiran ayat teologi dalam konteks ruang digital menjadi fenomena menarik untuk dikaji, mengingat penafsirannya memiliki tantangan dan risiko, seperti penyebaran penafsiran yang tidak akurat atau ekstrem. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk tetap kritis dan memverifikasi sumber informasi yang digunakan dalam penafsiran ayat-ayat teologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis komparatif terhadap tafsir audiovisual Surah al-Baqarah ayat115 oleh Musthafa Umar dan Firanda Andirja di kanal YouTube. Ayat ini memiliki relevansi signifikan dalam ajaran Islam, terutama terkait dengan prinsip tauhid (keesaan Tuhan) dan perubahan arah kiblat dalam ibadah salat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis komparatif. Fokus penelitian ini pada perbedaan dan persamaan terhadap pendekatan dan penjelasan antara Musthafa Umar dengan Firanda Andirja dalam menafsirkan ayat teologi tersebut. Sumber data diperoleh dari tafsir audiovisual keduanya yang disampaikan melalui kanal YouTube "kajian Tafsir Al-Ma‘rifah-Ustadz Musthafa Umar" dan "Firanda Andirja". Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dalam penafsiran keduanya, yaitu Musthafa Umar lebih menekankan aspek sosial Al-Qur'an, sementara Firanda Andirja lebih memfokuskan pada konsep salat dan arah kiblat. Namun, dalam perbedaan keduanya sama-sama mendorong fleksibilitas dalam pelaksanaan salat dan pemahaman ayat tersebut. Dalam konteks sumber penafsiran, Firanda Andirja mengandalkan Al-Qur'an dan Sunnah, sedangkan Musthafa Umar memadukan Al-Qur'an, Sunnah, dan nalar ijtihad. Metode penafsiran Firanda Andirja mencakup tahlili, muqaran, dan al-naqli, sedangkan Musthafa Umar menggunakan metode tahlili, maudhu'i, dan al-‘aqli. Corak penafsiran Firanda Andirja melibatkan aspek teologi, sementara Musthafa Umar menggabungkan teologi dan lughawi.
