Analisa Quality of Service (QoS) Jaringan Internet Kampus (Studi Kasus: UIN Suska Riau)

Beberapa staff, dosen, dan mahasiswa mengeluhkan lambatnya akses layanan internet yang mereka dapatkan, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian pengukuran Quality of Service (QoS) jaringan internet UIN Suska Riau menggunakan standar QoS ETSI. Parameter yang digunakan adalah Throughput, Delay, Jitter, Packet Loss yang diuji pada layanan social media, e- mail, file download, dan streaming. Account yang digunakan adalah account staff/dosen dengan bandwidth 384Kbps dan mahasiswa dengan bandwidth 128Kbps. Pengujian dilakukan pada jam sibuk antara jam 10.00 WIB sampai jam 15.00 WIB dan jam sepi jam 15.00 sampai jam 17.30. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian empat parameter QoS yang digunakan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa tiga dari empat parameter uji pada account mahasiswa tergolong pada kategori Buruk dan account staff/dosen tergolong pada kategori Sedang.
