Semakin meningkatnya penggunaan teknologi informasi oleh masyarakat, tentunya dapat digunakan untuk memudahkan dalam mempromosikan dan memasarkan produk industri kreatif di Indonesia. Banyak daerah yang mempunyai ciri khas industri kreatif yang dimiliki, sehingga tidak jarang bahwa bagi masyarakat yang berencana untuk memulai industri kreatif akan kesulitan untuk menentukan industri kreatif apa yang masih berpotensi untuk dikembangkan di suatu wilayah. Dengan adanya sistem informasi geografis pemetaan potensi industri kreatif, selain dapat memudahkan para pelaku usaha industri kreatif untuk dapat mengetahui potensi industri apa yang berpeluang untuk dikembangkan di suatu wilayah, juga dapat membantu para pelaku usaha dalam mempromosikan potensi usahanya.References
