Abstract

Perkembangan madrasah sebagai lembaga pendidikan modern tidak lepas dari kontribusi pemerintah melalui Departemen Agama dan Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan yang telah mengadospsi pendidikan madrasah dalam Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, sehingga legalitas yurdisnya menjadi kuat untuk mendapatkan perlakuan yang sama seperti sekolah umum dalam meraih kemajuan dalam melaksanakan semua aspek kependidikannya. Modernisasi pendidikan madrasah saat ini dapat dilihat pada kemajuan berbagai komponen pendidikannya, seperti; infra struktur madrasah yang semakin elegan, fasilitas dan media pembelajaran yang berbasis IT, tenaga pendidik yang profesional, dan sumber belajar yang relevan dengan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan terkini, bahkan lahirnya beberapa madrasah unggulan yang bertarap nasional
