Evaluasi Fungsionalitas Learning Management System Berdasarkan ISO/IEC 9126-2

Evaluasi learning management system (LMS) umumnya dilakukan subjektif berdasarkan penilaian dari dosen maupun mahasiswa pada institusi pendidikan yang menggunakannya. Untuk memperoleh hasil evaluasi yang objektif, berdasarkan fungsional fitur LMS, institusi pengguna dapat menggunakan ISO/IEC 9126. Namun institusi sebagai pengguna akhir adalah pihak yang tidak terlibat sejak fase awal pengembangan LMS dan mungkin saja tidak memiliki staf dengan keahlian di bidang perangkat lunak. Sehingga evaluasi yang sesuai adalah evaluasi fungsional sistem berdasarkan aspek eksternal, yaitu dengan ISO/IEC 9126-2. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa fitur penting dari LMS adalah fitur administrasi, fitur penyampaian bahan ajar, fitur pengujian, fitur penilaian dan fitur komunikasi. Pengukuran fungsionalitas eksternal yang dapat dilakukan pengguna menggunakan standar ISO/IEC 9126-2 adalah pengukuran sub karakteristik akurasi. Pengukuran ini dilakukan pada LMS di institusi Politeknik Caltex Riau dan diperoleh hasil bahwa 4 fitur bernilai accuracy 0, yaitu akurat sesuai ekspektasi penggunaannya. Satu fitur, yaitu komunikasi tidak akurat karena hanya 2 dari 8 fungsi fitur yang diimplementasikan. Evaluasi ini dapat dijadikan masukan bagi institusi untuk mempertimbangkan kustomisasi LMS yang digunakan. Sehingga alternatif interaksi belajar-mengajar lebih bervariasi.References
