Peningkatan Karakteristik Kualitas PKO Menggunakan Metodologi Six Sigma

PT. REA Kaltim Plantations & Group merupakan perusahaan yang mengolah buah kelapa sawit menjadi minyak kelapa sawit (CPO) dan minyak inti sawit (PKO). Kualitas PKO (Palm Kernel Oil) dinilai oleh beberapa karakteristik kualitas yang menjadi ukuran mutu PKO (Palm Kernel oil), yaitu FFA (Free Fatty Acid) atau asam lemak bebas, moisture yaitu kadar air, dan dirt atau kotoran. Berdasarkan produksi PKO pada bulan Agustus 2020 sampai Juli 2021 didapatkan nilai rata-rata presentase terhadap reject secara berurutan untuk FFA adalah 2.12%, kadar air adalah 0.25%, dan pada kadar kotoran sebesar 0.024%. Melalui metode Six Sigma dengan prosedur DMAIC diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas dengan cara mengurangi reject pada produksi Palm Kernel Oil (PKO). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, nilai sigma dari tiap karakteristik kualitas, yaitu FFA semula ialah 2.98 dan setelah dilakukan improve sebesar 3.27, sementara moisture semula ialah 2.03 dan setelah dilakukan improve sebesar 2.26.References
