Penerapan Web Based of Knowledge Management System (KMS) pada Organisasi (Studi Kasus: Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi UIN Suska Riau)

Organization Knowledge Management System (OKMS) merupakan suatu pola pengelolaan aset pengetahuan yang mengkonversikan kemampuan individu ke dalam bentuk kemampuan explicit yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh individu lainnya untuk membangun kemampuan profesional organisasi. Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi (FST) UIN Suska Riau sudah sepatutnya mengembangkan sistem organisasinya melalui pengelolaan aset pengentahuan individunya. Namun apakah pengetahuan individu-individu yang ada saat ini sudah dikelola dengan baik, sehingga lembaga ini mampu menerapkan sistem automatisasi. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan uji kepatutan terhadap FST untuk mampu membangun suatu Knowledge Management System (KMS) nantinya dengan memanfaatkan teknologi website. Untuk itu, diperlukan data yang konkrit dan nyata dilapangan apakah KMS berbasiskan web ini bisa diterapkan sesuai dengan kondisi yang sedang berjalan di FST sekarang. Penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada pengukuran pengetahuan pegawai dan dosen (yang berada pada struktural) di unit kerja administrasi umum dan akademik. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan teknik forum group discussion (FGD), data-data yang diperoleh nantinya akan diproses dengan menggunakan komponen krisis knowledge management (KM) sehingga hasil yang diharapkan adalah pertama apakah budaya sharing knowledge sudah berjalan dan KMS berbasikan web dapat diterapkan di FST.
